Steam Whistle Teriyaki Burger



Enjoy the fusion of teriyaki flavors with juicy beef, grilled pineapple, and Swiss cheese in this delicious Steam Whistle Teriyaki Burger. It's a perfect blend of sweet and savory!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices pineapple
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced red onion
  • Sliced tomato
  • Mayonnaise
  • Teriyaki sauce

Instructions:

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger to make the teriyaki marinade

Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties

Place the burger patties in a shallow dish and pour the teriyaki marinade over them

Marinate for at least 30 minutes

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat

Grill the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness

During the last minute of grilling, add a slice of Swiss cheese to each patty and allow it to melt

While the patties are grilling, grill the pineapple slices until they have grill marks, about 2 minutes per side

Toast the burger buns on the grill until they are lightly browned

Assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise on the bottom bun, placing a lettuce leaf, a burger patty with melted cheese, a grilled pineapple slice, sliced red onion, and tomato slice on top

Drizzle teriyaki sauce over the burger components, and top with the other half of the bun

Serve the Steam Whistle Teriyaki Burgers immediately

Scarecrow Cookies



As a sweet fall treat, serve these adorable scarecrow cookies! They are ideal for Halloween or any other autumn gathering.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup red frosting
  • 1/4 cup yellow frosting
  • 1/4 cup black frosting

Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and then add the vanilla extract

Mix well

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined

Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cover the cookie dough and refrigerate for at least 1 hour

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

Take out the chilled dough and use your hands to form small balls, about 1 inch in diameter

Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving enough space between them to spread

Gently press candy corn into the top portion of each cookie to create the scarecrow's hat

Insert two sliced almonds just below the candy corn to form the scarecrow's eyes

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely

Once the cookies have cooled, use the red frosting to draw a smiley mouth below the almond eyes

Add a dab of yellow frosting on the scarecrow's hat for additional decoration

Use the black frosting to draw small dots in the almond eyes for pupils

Let the frosting set before serving the scarecrow cookies

Bacon Jalapeno Popper Cheeseburger



With smoky bacon, spicy jalapenos, creamy cheese, and a juicy beef patty between two soft buns, this burger is literally making my mouth water.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, sliced
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lettuce and tomato for garnish

Instructions:

In a pan over medium heat, cook bacon until it's crispy

Take it off and let it dry on paper towels

The jalapeno slices should be cooked in the same pan for about two to three minutes, or until they start to get soft

Take it out and set it aside

Put cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a bowl and mix them together

Mix until it's smooth

Form four patties out of the ground beef

Add pepper and salt

The patties should be cooked on a grill or in a skillet over medium-high heat for about four to five minutes on each side for medium-rare

Put a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty in the last minute of cooking and let it melt

Spread the cream cheese mixture on the bottom half of each bun before putting the burgers together

Put a burger that has been cooked on top of the cream cheese mix

Add lettuce, tomato, jalapeo slices, and crispy bacon on top

Put the top bun on top and serve right away

Then add the chopped red onion, cilantro, and garlic

Add the chopped mint leaves and diced tomato slowly

If you think it needs more salt or lime juice, taste it and add more of either

Moist Lemon Cupcakes

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

  • 2 tablespoons lemon zest

Instructions:

Warm up your oven to 350F 175C and put cupcake liners in a muffin tin

Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a medium-sized bowl using a whisk

Put away

Put the softened butter and granulated sugar in a different bowl

Mix them together until they are light and fluffy

This should take about two to three minutes

One egg at a time, making sure to mix well after each addition

Add the lemon juice and zest and mix well

Now, add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients one third at a time, mixing them with the buttermilk in between each addition

Start with the dry ingredients and end with the buttermilk

Mix until everything is just combined

Be careful not to mix too much

Add the vanilla extract and mix well

Fill each cupcake liner about two thirds of the way to the top with batter

When you stick a toothpick into the middle of a cupcake, it should come out clean or with a few moist crumbs

Bake in an oven that has already been heated up for 18 to 20 minutes

Let the cupcakes cool for 5 minutes in the muffin tin, then move them to a wire rack to cool all the way down

You can frost the cupcakes with your favorite lemon frosting or eat them without any frosting

Gently fold in blueberries and spread batter into prepared pan

In a small bowl, mix softened butter, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg until crumbly

Sprinkle crumb mixture over batter in pan

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean

While the buckle is baking, prepare the lemon glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest until smooth

Once the buckle is baked, let it cool for 10 minutes then drizzle the lemon glaze over the top

Allow the buckle to cool completely before slicing into squares

Instructions:
